• Ad Rem Public Speaking

Your messages are delivered in a variety of ways, and for most organizations this includes public speaking. Whether you are giving a speech, a presentation, or speaking on a panel, you need to project confidence and ensure clarity.

There is a big difference between recording a video for TikTok or YouTube, and giving a speech in front of a live audience.

For one, in most cases, you can’t see yourself as you speak. You also can’t stop recording and start again, or edit what you think you can say better. That is why many people tend to feel increased nervousness at the thought of addressing a packed hall or room.

There are also people who are accustomed to public speaking, but who struggle to keep the audience’s interest and generate engagement. Often, they need to practice new approaches not only in the way they deliver, but also in their speech structure. In both form and content, a speaker’s style will stand out if basic elements are followed.

Public speakers must possess good tone, master enunciation, and maintain good posture, but they must also be able to rely on engaging and pertinent content that grabs the audience.

Through coaching and training, getting an overview of basic public speaking considerations is always relevant to people who need to face audiences. Among others, it will help speakers develop and maintain confidence in a variety of relevant skills, such as:

  • Speech preparation and drafting

  • Speech giving techniques, in delivery and in engagement with the audience

  • Differences between speaking to a live audience and speaking online

  • Tips for panel participation and discussions

  • Video guidelines

This will also give pointers on visuals and physical presentation, whether in person or online, with issues such as voice level, posture, breathing techniques, gesturing, pausing for effect, and others.

This type of training is also offered in an executive, one-on-one coaching format.
